Small Bits of News You Didn’t Know you Needed
Man uses nail clippers in DIY circumcision
A man who gave himself a DIY circumcision using nail clippers was taken to hospital for emergency treatment.
The young man had to be rushed to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. The wound was disinfected to cleanse it before he was given a bed in an observation ward.
"This is something we would advise men never to attempt," a medic said, "The results can be quite horrific and long-lasting and have quite an affect on a man's sexual performance.
"Using a pair of nail clippers must have caused excruciating pain, even if he had had a few drinks beforehand."

Pastor Sentenced for Child Porn on Church Computer
A former Texas pastor who admitted having more than 600 images of child pornography on his church computer has been sentenced to 17 years in prison.
The U.S. attorney's office in Dallas says 36-year-old Steve Richardson was sentenced Monday by U.S. District Judge Sam A. Lindsay.
The former pastor of First United Methodist Church in Royse City pleaded guilty in March to one count of transporting and shipping child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
Prosecutors say Richardson sent a sexually explicit image of a child to an undercover federal agent in Seattle and requested comparable images.

Man tries to end life in bush pit toilet
New Guinean villagers have rescued a man attempting suicide at the bottom of a bush pit toilet, local media reports.
The man told villagers in Kalem, Western Highlands Province, that he wanted to kill himself because all his family members had died.
Naomi Elias got the shock of her life when she entered the toilet last Saturday.
"I heard someone pleading: 'Please forgive me'," she said.
"The pit opening was very narrow, so how he entered the hole and ended up in the pit is unbelievable."
Ms Elias said she first thought it may have been spirits or a sorcery trick and fled the scene in fear.
Residents demolished the toilet and found the man from Nipa village, Southern Highlands Province, lying inside.
Ms Elias ran to the nearby village of Timur to get a local journalist, who in turn took photographs.
Kalem community leader Sak Murumaki said villagers pulled the suicidal man out with sticks and gave him money to return home.

Jackson Killed Himself in Attempt to Get Sick
Michael Jackson accidentally killed himself while trying to become sick enough to cancel upcoming concerts, a prominent author claims.
Author Gerald Posner, who also writes for The Daily Beast, claims that a top member of the pop singer’s entourage told him that Jackson wanted to cancel several shows without having to pay out his touring company.
According to the advisor, who was not named in the report, Jackson intentionally took a large amount of prescription drugs to induce a trip to hospital.
"Like a child who doesn’t want to go to school… Michael thought he could get away from his obligations if he had a 'note from the doctor'," the advisor reportedly said.
Jackson's contract with the company handling the 50-show tour stated that if the singer cancelled any concert, he would have to pay a penalty to the promoters, according to The Daily Beast.
But most contracts have a medical infirmity clause, whereby if a performer is hospitalized no penalty needs to be paid.
It was also reported that at least six other sources supported the claim that Jackson was looking for ways to reduce the number of concerts.
The advisor also said that Jackson's use of painkillers had increased over the past decade and he believed the performer mixed his pills in order to be sick enough to go to hospital.

An advertisement for Burger King's latest sandwich leaves little to the imagination and should be discontinued due to "distasteful" and unappetizing references to oral sex, advertising experts said.
The print ad for the "BK Super Seven Incher" — a limited time promotion in Singapore, a society known around the world for its strict government controls of social conduct — shows the "mind-blowing" sandwich near the open mouth of a wide-eyed, red-lipsticked woman accompanied by the suggestive tagline: "It'll blow your mind away."
"Fill your desire for something long, juicy and flame-grilled," the ad continues.
