Navy Captain Demoted After Warship Drag Race Surfaced

A Navy captain was demoted because she berated and assaulted her crew, not because she led her guided missile cruiser on a drag-race with another U.S. warship in the Pacific, an investigation shows.
Capt. Holly Graf was relieved of her command of the cruiser USS Cowpens after an investigation substantiated crew allegations that she was abusive and used her position for personal gain, naval officials said

American - 1 - Greedy Bank - 0

Is this the tipping point? Americans have been taken advantage like no one on earth by greedy Banksters and corporations. Like many of them, a man named Terry Hoskins has had troubles with his bank. But his solution to foreclosure might be somewhat unique.
Hoskins said he's been in a struggle with RiverHills Bank over his Clermont County home for nearly a decade, a struggle that was coming to an end as the bank began foreclosure proceedings on his $350,000 home.
"When I see I owe $160,000 on a home valued at $350,000, and someone decides they want to take it – no, I wasn't going to stand for that, so I took it down," Hoskins said.
Hoskins said the Internal Revenue Service placed liens on his carpet store and commercial property on state Route 125 after his brother, a one-time business partner, sued him.
The bank claimed his home as collateral, Hoskins said, and went after both his residential and commercial properties.
"The average homeowner that can't afford an attorney or can fight as long as we have, they don't stand a chance," he said.
Hoskins said he'd gotten a $170,000 offer from someone to pay off the house, but the bank refused, saying they could get more from selling it in foreclosure.
"I'll tear it down before I let you take it," Hoskins told them.
And that's exactly what Hoskins did.

Zoo forced to rename primate called 'Obama'

Facing accusations of racial insensitivity, the Dresden Zoo has been forced to rename a baby primate called ‘Obama.’
This spring the zoo in the eastern German city named a newborn mandrill "Obama" after freshly inaugurated US President Barack Obama. But an advocacy group for black Germans demanded that the primate be renamed this week, calling the zoo’s choice racist.
The baby mandrill, which belongs to a species closely related to the baboon, was born on March 23, Manuela Collmar, zookeeper at the zoo’s "Afrika Haus," said. Each year the zoo names all newborn animals beginning with the same letter. "This year they all begin with ‘O,’ and one of the zookeeper’s chose ‘Obama’ – it was meant to be positive and, an honor in light of his visit to Dresden in June," Collmar said, adding that neither she nor her colleagues were aware of the history of using monkeys to caricature and ethnically stereotype black people.

Woman Told to Remove 'Offensive' American Flag From Office

Debbie McLucas comes from a patriotic family – her husband and both of her sons served in the U.S. military, and her daughter is currently deployed to Iraq on her second tour of duty as a combat medic.
So when McLucas arrived at work at a Texas hospital last Friday, she was stunned to be told that the Stars and Stripes she had hung in her office in advance of Memorial Day were offensive, and that the flag had been removed.
"I got into work, I was met by my supervisor and told that there had been multiple complaints, that people found the flag very offensive and it had been taken down," McLucas said.
"I went to the office to retrieve it and found the flag wrapped around the pole, sitting in the corner on the ground. I was speechless."
McLucas, a supervisor at Kindred Hospital in Mansfield, Texas, had displayed the 3-by-5-foot flag in the office she shares with the hospital’s three other supervisors. McLucas said one of her colleagues, a woman who immigrated to the United States from Africa 14 years ago, complained about the flag to upper management, and the hospital decided to take down the flag.
"I was told that as long as my flag offended one person, it would be taken down," McLucas said
She said the hospital told her that the American flag flying outside the building would have to suffice. "I was told, ‘There is a flag hanging out front, everyone can see that one. Is that not enough?’"
No, she said, that wasn't enough.
"It is more than I can even fathom, that you would find the American flag offensive, in America," McLucas said.

Soldier fighting the Taleban caught in pink boxers

Pink boxer shorts, a red T-shirt and bedroom slippers aren't the ideal uniform for fighting the Taleban.
But a young US soldier found himself battling the enemy in his underwear when his platoon came under a sudden attack by Taleban militants in Afghanistan on Monday.
Zachary Boyd, 19, was sleeping when the ambush occurred and only had time to put on his helmet and body armor before grabbing his gun and rushing into action, leaving his "I love New York" pink boxers on full display.
Army Specialist Boyd, fighting in Afghanistan with the US Army First Battalion, phoned home to warn his family of his sudden notoriety, much to the amusement of his parents.
"He said, ‘I hear the Times is what they put on the President's desk’," said his mother, Sheree Boyd. "Then he told us, ‘I may not have a job any more after the President has seen me out of uniform’.
"It was typical. He has always been an interesting little character."
His father Tommy said he couldn’t stop laughing at seeing Boyd in pink boxers.
"I ran to the computer and looked at The New York Times right quick," Mr Boyd told Texas radio station WBAP. "Lo and behold, I saw his pink underwear and just laughed for about the next five minutes."
"I knew he was a boxer guy, I knew that for sure. I did not know they were pink, and I didn't know they said, ‘I love New York’."
Boyd’s parents said he became motivated to join the US Army after the terror attacks on America on September 11, 2001 — perhaps the reason he was wearing ‘I love New York’ underwear.
Boyd was promoted to an army specialist last week and says he hopes to someday lead men in combat – hopefully in full uniform.

It’s Just Money!

President Obama signed the $787 billion economic stimulus bill into law. About $281 billion of the stimulus will go to new tax cuts with the remainder being spent on infrastructure investments, expanded unemployment benefits, and other programs.
.
What could you spend $787 billion on?
.
You can buy more than 222 billion Big Macs
Since many look to the Bic Mac index to understand exchange rates, it might help put the stimulus package in perspective. With the Big Mac currently worth about $3.54, the stimulus could purchase over 222 billion of the beloved burgers.

WHAT'S THIS
SHIT !

$787 billion... hmm, let's see, we could give it back to the taxpayers who put it there and let them decided on how to spend or save it. It'll either get back to the banks in savings, or buy cars from the big 3, or more electronics, that will send it to Japan and other Asian countries and that helps the world economies, we could pay our mortgages off and save our own housing industry... or we could just let congress handle things like they've always done. We're screwed!!!
