Just when it seemed that the Chinese had plumbed the depths of animal humiliation, along comes something even worse.
In one of the nation's most notorious zoos, applauding spectators are treated to a bizarre display as a 420 pound lion leaps on to the horse's back.

16 year-old Builds Bicycle Entirely Out Of Wood

High school student Marco Facciola built a bike out of wood. I'm talking every part is made out of wood. "Marco had to complete this as a non-academic project for his International Baccalaureate, and inspiration came from his grandfather, forced to make wooden wheels for his bike during the war due to rubber shortages."

According to Kissimee fire officials, Gary Letour and other firefighters responded to the fire at 401 S. Clyde Ave. at about 2 p.m.
The fire was contained to the laundry room of the home, but heat and smoke filled an upstairs apartment, where the animals were discovered.
The dogs were taken to an area animal hospital for observation. A cat was killed in the fire.
No one was injured in the fire.
The American Red Cross is helping the family, which was displaced by the fire.

LABRADOR SURVIVES 6 STORY FALL

TAMPA, Fla. — Authorities say a Labrador retriever named Jet really can fly. The 65-pound dog survived a six story leap from a Tampa airport parking garage and lived.
Police and Jet's owners and vet say the 2-year old dog accidentally leaped over a parking garage railing on New Year's Eve and walked away from the landing -- 60 to 80 feet below.
Jet spent the night at a vet's office with a collapsed lung and some cuts and bruises. But by the next day, the dog was getting antsy again.
His owners are Clayton and Jessica Tieman of Largo. They named Jet for the sheen of his black fur, not for any flying abilities. They say their next dog will get a more earthly name, perhaps Scooter.

Cross-Dresser Sought

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who has a moustache and has been seen wearing women's underwear, a garter belt and black high-heel boots. Since last spring, the sheriff's office has received six reports that a motorist wearing that outfit has pulled in front of female drivers, jumped out of his vehicle and modeled his attire in the road. The women have had to swerve to avoid him, Sheriff Mark Dion said.

"The behavior is not necessarily criminal in terms of dress, but the fact he's jumping out in roadways and apparently targeting females who are alone, driving their cars, seems to suggest to us we have to talk to him," Dion said.Police initially suspected it was a college prank, but the incidents have continued and may be escalating. On Sunday, the woman reported that the man passed her and cut her off before jumping out into the road. The woman got a good look at the man and provided a description for a police composite sketch. He is described as white, 5 feet 11 inches tall and in his late 20s or early 30s, with brown hair, a moustache and a thin build. Although the composite sketch shows a somewhat effeminate face, investigators say it is definitely a man.
