Surgeons remove 125-pound belly from Russian woman
When Natalya M. was rushed to a hospital in Voronezh, Russia, the doctors didn’t believe their eyes – the woman had a gigantic skin-fat growth on her belly that didn’t let her walk normally. It was 36 inches long and weighed 125 pounds.Natalya was overweight since 13, when she had hormonal disturbance. She tried all the existing diets, visited hundreds of doctors, but with no result. Years passed as her belly was growing larger and larger. Finally it became so huge that the woman literally had to stump it to make a step.
Oleg Strigin, the head of the department of surgery of the hospital, where the woman was rushed, said they don’t do such complicated surgeries often. He said there are 4 levels of the belly-growth: the inch of more than 4-inch length belongs to the 4th level. We’ve never seen the growth of 36 inches!
The growth-removing surgery lasted for many hours. The surgeons removed fat the weight of a grown-up woman!

Small Bits of News
Hifumi Kubota, 45, was arrested by police after a phone call from the woman he was living with to say that he was acting violently.
In front of police he poured kerosene all over himself and was taken to the station where he was asked to change his clothes. He refused.
He asked for a cigarette inside the station and was given a whole packet and a lighter despite his clothes still being kerosene soaked and the no-smoking rule. Upon lighting up the man became engulfed in flames and later died in hospital.

Daughter Fails GED, Dad Jailed
Brian Gegner is in jail for 180 days for failing to keep an eye on his daughter's education. The problem is his daughter is 18 and has passed all except the math portion of the GED which she has failed several times. The order stems from 2 years ago.
When the original truancy happened, Brian Gegner had custody of his daughter even though she was living with her mother. Brittany and her mother both say they should be the ones to go to jail if anyone had to. "It's ridiculously wrong," said Brittany.
The court says that even though Brittany is now an adult the order can be upheld since she was a juvenile at the time. Gegner is also facing the possibility of losing his job, which he has had for 15 years, over this situation.

13 Year Old Steals Dad's Credit Card to Buy Hookers
A 13 year old from Texas who stole his Dad's credit card and ordered two hookers from an escort agency, has today been convicted of fraud and given a three year community order.
Ralph Hardy, a 13 year old from Newark, Texas confessed to ordering an extra credit card from his father's existing credit card company, and took his friends on a $30,000 spending spree, culminating in playing "Halo" on an Xbox with a couple of hookers in a Texas motel.
The credit card company involved said it was regular practice to send extra credit cards out as long as all security questions are answered.
The escort girls who were released without charge, told the arresting officers something was up when the kids said they would rather play Xbox than get down to business.

MAD WIFE DISEASE
"Ouch!! What was that for?" he asked.
"That was for the piece of paper in your pants pocket with the name Mary Lou written on it," she replied.
"Two weeks ago when I went to the races, Mary Lou was the name of one of the horses I bet on," he explained.
"Oh honey, I’m so sorry," she said. "I should have known there was a good explanation."
Three days later he was watching a ball game on TV when she walked up and hit him in the head again, this time with an iron skillet, which knocked him out cold.
When he came too, he asked, "Now what was that for?"
She replied, "Your horse called".

What Part Of This You Don't Understand
Sad Yorkshire terrier Jasper went to have his long locks trimmed by a dog groomer — and came back virtually bald. Owner Neil Hellier had asked the trimmer to take an inch off Jasper’s coat. Now the expat, who lives in Portugal, has to put sun block on the five-year-old pooch to stop him getting burnt in the fierce Algarve heat.
Neil said: "When I went to pick him up this completely bald dog came trotting out of the pet salon and I thought it belonged to someone else. It was only when I called Jasper’s name and he responded that I realized it was him. He certainly seemed upset by what had happened. He hid in my daughter’s wardrobe for days and refused to come out." Neil, 37, who lives in Lagoa with Chloe, 33, and daughters Megan, 13, and nine-year-old Ellie, added: "I should have realised something was up when the Portuguese owner admitted he didn’t know what a Yorkie was. "I think he mistook Jasper for a Chihuahua as you see lots of them in Portugal — and they don’t have long coats."

Nevada Judge Accused of Demanding Royal Treatment
LAS VEGAS, Nevada (AP) -- Elizabeth Halverson is a judge. But the way courthouse staffers see it, she expects to be treated like a queen.
Her former bailiff, for example, says Halverson made him feel like a "houseboy." He says the judge -- who is obese and uses a motorized scooter to get around -- made him put her shoes on her feet, massage her back, cover her with a blanket for naps and make sure her oxygen tank was filled.
Halverson also surrounded herself with her own hired guards, saying she did not trust the courthouse security force to protect her. Another time, she allegedly had her husband sworn in so that she could ask him under oath whether he had completed chores at home.
Since then, the 50-year-old Nevada district judge has been locked out of her Las Vegas courtroom, suspended from the bench and brought up on judicial-misconduct charges that include not only misusing her position and treating her staff like personal valets but also tainting juries and falling asleep on the bench.
