Officer's Gun Sticks To MRI Machine
An off-duty Jacksonville Sheriff's Office deputy was hurt Wednesday when her hand was trapped between her police-issued Glock handgun and the powerful magnet inside an MRI machine.
Police said Joy Smith was in the MRI room with her mother when she apparently forgot about her gun, which was pulled by the magnetic force of the machine, trapping her hand between the gun and the MRI.
Smith was able to free herself, but the gun remained stuck for hours while the machine was powered down, which takes 24 hours. Jacksonville Beach police said Smith's hand was injured and she had difficulty bending her thumb, but it was not known if she sought medical treatment.

Drunk Driving & Texting?
Very Bad.
Crashing into a deputy's home while driving/texting drunk?

Worse.
He faces a DUI charge, but investigators say the crash that led to his charges was caused by texting while driving.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened early Sunday morning around 1:30 on State Road 49 west of Ft. White.
The FHP says Rodney Troy Whitley, 41, was driving southbound and was texting. As he did so, his van drifted across the far lane of the road and hit a fence in someone's yard.
The van went through the fence and through the yard until it hit the house, where it came to rest. The Gainesville Sun is reporting that the house he hit is owned by a Gilchrist County deputy and her husband. The deputy and her husband were sleeping in the house at the time and her husband required stitches as a result of the accident.

Man Injures Self Breaking Into Jail
A man was seriously injured after he climbed a fence and fell through razor wire while attempting to get back into jail because he said threats were made against his life, according to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said that Sylvester Jiles, 24, came to the jail at about 7:30 p.m. Monday and told corrections officers he needed to be placed in protective custody due to the threats.
Jiles was released from jail on Friday and was given probation for a manslaughter conviction.
Deputies told Jiles that deputies would respond to investigate his claims. While they were waiting, officers reported that Jiles was acting "strange" and "erratic," pacing in the parking lot.
According to deputies, Jiles sprinted to the jail perimeter fence, jumped between the barbed wire, ran to the next fence, climbed it and fell through three levels of razor wire.

Do you know what the “Beyond” is with Bed, Bath and Beyond?
Woman sees man masturbates in Bed, Bath and Beyond parking lot
A man was observed masturbating in the driver’s side seat of his vehicle in the parking lot of Bed, Bath and Beyond on East Commons Drive.
The woman told deputies that she was exiting Bed, Bath and Beyond when she saw a sedan next to her car with its engine running, but was unable to see anyone inside, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s report.
As she walked between the two cars she saw a man masturbating in the front seat, and according to the report, “she did see the unknown subject’s sexual organs and she was offended by what she saw.”
Deputies found the 21-year-old man by running the license plate number provided by the woman. He admitted to deputies that he was the person masturbating in the Bed, Bath and Beyond parking lot and admitted that this was the second time he was caught.

76-year-old killer
A Euclid woman is sentenced after entering a no contest plea in Euclid Municipal Court on Thursday. Dorothy Richardson, 76, must pay a $500 fine and perform 80 hours of community service after using a shovel to kill a baby deer in her backyard.
"Your honor, I'm very sorry," said Richardson. She wept in court after accepting a plea deal following the June 15th incident on Waynoka Road. "I looked up and there he stand with glazin' eyes and whining at me, I was afraid that he was gonna jump on me."
In exchange for her plea, Richardson's charges were reduced to a single misdemeanor count. She admitted to hitting the animal and prosecutors say she showed it to a neighbor, bragged about it and left it on the curb with her trash.

Man shoots cocaine from the cheeks of his butt
A 30-year-old man was arrested Thursday on a host of charges after a bag of cocaine “shot out” of his backside in a gas station, according to an affidavit released Friday.
Investigators said they got a tip that cocaine was being transported in a brown Cadillac in the area of Interstate 95 and Midway Road, and investigators found the vehicle Thursday morning at a gas station at Midway and Glades Cut-Off roads.
The affidavit gave this account:
A man was pumping gas into the vehicle, and a drug sniffing dog smelled narcotics in the vehicle and the area where the man, identified as Warren Leonard Wiley, stood. A search of Wiley turned up a crumpled dollar bill with cocaine in it.
“Wiley was then escorted to the men’s room for a more detailed search,” the affidavit states. “While being escorted, Wiley dropped his shorts in the middle of the store stating, ‘I don’t have nothing.’ ”
Wiley’s backside appeared “clenched tight” as if he was hiding something. While walking, his backside relaxed and a clear bag with about 22 grams of cocaine in it “shot out” onto the store’s floor.

Why women have sex

According to a book, there are 237 reasons why women have sex.
And most of them have little to do with romance or pleasure.

“10 Good Reasons Why Women Have Sex”

It seems like everyone right now is talking about that new book Why Women Have Sex by Cindy Meston and David Buss. Apparently lots of women reported having sex to keep the peace, to stave off boredom, to relieve a headache, or to get their husbands to take out the trash (oh, yeah, and occasionally because they’re in the mood, too). And everyone’s acting like it’s this huge deal that 100% of the women didn’t say that, 100% of the time, they have sex because they’re so turned on they can’t think straight. Sure, sometimes women have sex for fairly unsexy reasons…and sometimes they have sex for more, shall we say, honorable ones — which includes, but isn’t limited to, being so turned on they can’t think straight.
.
Here are 10 and please, add your own reasons in the comments section!
1. Because you’re horny. (Duh.)
2. Because even if you’re not in the mood, 99.9% of the time you get in the mood once you start.
3. Because it’s (almost) impossible to argue while having sex.
4. Because you just received the most amazing 30-minute back-rub and your partner didn’t even try to segue the massage into sex.
5. Because your partner is hot stuff.
6. Because you still remember thinking there’s no way this person would ever look twice at you…and then they did.
7. Because orgasms are an excellent stress reliever.
8. Because you’ve got a partner who makes sure you always orgasm first, who doesn’t expect it to happen from intercourse, and who doesn’t immediately roll over after he’s spent.
9. Because your neighbors are really annoying and you want to do it loudly to remind them that you have a better sex life than they do.
10. Because sex with someone you love is (to paraphrase one-time Quaker Oats spokesman Wilford Brimley) the right thing to do and a tasty way to do it.

10-year-old girl locked in room, denied access to bathroom
A 10-year-old Portales girl was forced to eat meals quickly, by herself, then locked in her room at night “to prevent her from getting up and eating food,” according to a police incident report.
The girl was also forced to wear pull-up diapers, denied bathroom access and had her head shaved as punishment for cutting her own hair, the report shows.
The details of child neglect charges against Mern and Athena Shepherd are contained in the report released Wednesday. Both were in Roosevelt County jail in lieu of $5,000 bond each.
The Shepherds were arrested Sept. 24 — six days after teachers at the girl’s elementary school contacted police because the girl appeared malnourished.

2000 women whipped for 5 hours by priests
Two thousand teenagers and children, some as young as 10, were whipped by the temple's priests. For five hours. The priests' explanation: This whipping is a cure-all. Some 10-year-olds were lashed for not studying enough. Others were attacked for being slow to attain puberty. And menstruating teens were hit for being impure. The priests say this is nothing new. "We have been practicing this ritual for 300 years," declares Thangavelu, a priest.
The women can be seen gasping for breath; many are sobbing their hearts out. But the faith is unshakeable. Radhika, a devotee, says, "We believe that when we are whipped, we will get rid of all our mental and physical ailments and evil spirits."

Maggots removed from woman's nose
When 70-year-old Laxmibai first got a nose bleed, no one really paid much attention to it. Only when the bleeding continued for five days and two hospitals couldn't find the cause for it that her family took her to civic-run Sion Hospital. The doctors there came up with the right diagnosis: she had maggots in her nose.
"The fly laid eggs inside her nose. We removed more than 40 maggots from her nose on Friday. The worms had started feeding on her flesh, due to which the patient was bleeding and in pain. Now we have cleaned the wound and she will be fine if there is no further infection,'' said Dr Mustafa Kapadia, ENT surgeon at Sion Hospital.
A fly lays eggs in moist areas and the maggots break out of the eggs within eight to 20 hours. Immediately, they start feeding on the place the eggs were laid on.

Teen cuts his fathers hands off while he sleep
A 17-year-old Taiwanese boy has been arrested for cutting off his father's hands, allegedly for years of physical abuse, a police official said.
The boy cut through his father's wrists with a knife while he was asleep at the family's home in central Miaoli, the official said. The official was speaking on condition of anonymity, citing department policy.
The 37-year-old father, a divorced ironsmith, was in stable condition after doctors reattached his severed hands, the official said.
The father and son were identified only by their surname, Fan.
The police official said the boy admitted to cutting his father's hands off and showed no remorse, complaining that he was beaten after refusing to get a job while attending school.
The boy told the police that since his mother left home some 10 years ago, his father had frequently beat him and even tossed a chair or other objects at him.
The boy said he bought a knife and planned to kill his father two days earlier after his father reprimanded him for refusing to work and denied him allowances.

Chances are high pot will be legal
That proposed ballot initiative to legalize marijuana in California for people 21 and older - and let local government tax the sales - has a good chance of passing.
People are no longer outraged by the idea of legalization, and truth be told, there is just too much money to be made both by the people who grow marijuana and the cities and counties that would be able to tax it.
Unlike the 1970s, when Mayor George Moscone first moved to decriminalize pot, marijuana is no longer about hippies. Thanks to medical marijuana, pot has moved from the alleyways to Main Street, with pot clubs springing up all over the state.

House Damaged By Wrong-House Oil Delivery
Ferrantino Fuel Corp. Pumps 100 Gallons of Oil into John Byas' Home, and He Doesn't Even Have an Oil Tank
His family has been forced out of their home, and his wife has been hospitalized from the fumes.
To say John Byas is angry over what happened to his home is putting it mildly.
"I work hard and it's a lot of money wasted," Byas said.
His newly renovated basement is ruined, his carpet yanked up, and furniture is piled outside in a heap, all because of a mistake made by the Ferrantino Fuel Corporation. They delivered 100 gallons of oil to his home – pumped through an outside pump, flooding the basement – but Byas has lived at the home for two decades, and has never had an oil tank.

Trucker driving flips his rig while he was masturbating
A German trucker suspected of driving under the influence of drugs crashed his vehicle near Boras in western Sweden on Tuesday. He subsequently admitted to masturbating at the time of the accident.
The trucker, apparently unable to reach a satisfactory climax, then proceeded to continue to pleasure himself while in the midst of a police interrogation, according to the local Boras Tidning newspaper.
"He was masturbating while the police interrogated him," police prosecutor Åsa Askenbäck told the newspaper.
"He has admitted that he was not paying full attention at the time of the accident. He was playing with himself instead of focusing on the road."

Woman wakes up to find her left nipple bleeding
When Daly City resident Rosalinda Miran-Ramirez woke up one morning in April to find her left breast bleeding from the nipple, she panicked. The shirt she had been sleeping in was saturated with blood. So her husband took her to the emergency room at Seton Medical Center.
"In my mind I know something serious is going on," said Miran-Ramirez. "I need to see a doctor."
Doctors found a tumor and initially told her she had breast cancer. A biopsy later proved that assumption false; the tumor was benign.
But Miran-Ramirez said the real shock came when her insurance company, Blue Shield of California HMO, which had initially approved the claim for the emergency room visit, reversed course and sent her a new bill three months later requiring her to pay the total charges for that visit: $2,791.00.
Why? Documents from Blue Shield indicate the company had reviewed the case and determined Miran-Ramirez "reasonably should have known that an emergency did not exist."
