Woman assaulted with pants
Minutes after spotting a man beating a woman off Harbor Boulevard, witnesses called police to say he came after them, too — "only in his undershorts," an Okaloosa County sheriff's deputy said. The 19-year-old man was charged with misdemeanor battery. A woman and her friends said they caught the man hitting another woman and intervened. When they did, he charged at the entire group, according to his arrest report. At some point, he "removed his khaki cargo shorts leaving him only in his undershorts" and began swinging them around, a deputy wrote. He hit one of the women in her right upper thigh, leaving it red.

Gallery owner cuffed because of nude man
The owner of a Florida art gallery is facing charges for allegedly breaking city laws by having a nude man inside his gallery while alcohol was being served.
Gallery owner Bill Schramm 46, and model, Joshua M. Culotta, 26, were taken into police custody Friday at the Erotic Lounge in St. Petersburg, Fla.
The incident began when police showed up after getting a complaint about a large penis sculpture outside the gallery.
The Times said police went back to the gallery later in the night and raided the building.
Officials said they found Culotta inside the building, hanging in an aerial harness from the ceiling with his genitals exposed.
Schramm and Culotta were taken into police custody and Schramm is facing charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and violating the city ordinance. Sgt. Joe Collins said police are allowed to enter a building with a liquor license without probable cause.

Prisoner negotiates for fried chicken in plea deal
Prisoners are often disappointed with the food they're served up while serving time but one jail bird managed to negotiate for fried chicken in a plea deal.
It has been reported that a man awaiting trial for aggravated murder recently enjoyed KFC chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, carrot cake and ice-cream after agreeing to a sentence of life in prison with no appeal.
By agreeing to this plea, it saves the 33-year-old's family from having to go through the ordeal of an emotional trial.
This will also save the state money by not going through any appeals in the future.
The man, who will be sentenced in August, can at least look forward to his next feast of pizza, lasagna and more ice cream after his sentencing goes ahead.

Louisiana Grand Jury to Probe 50,000-Volt Taser Death
A grand jury in central Louisiana will weigh criminal charges against a former police officer who is accused of jolting a handcuffed man nine times with a Taser before the suspect died, a prosecutor announced Monday.
Winn Parish District Attorney Chris Nevils said the grand jury was scheduled to convene Aug. 12 to begin hearing evidence in the death of Baron Pikes, 21.
Former Winnfield police officer Scott Nugent has acknowledged using the 50,000-volt Taser on Pikes while arresting him Jan. 17 on a drug possession warrant, Nevils said.
Nugent was fired in May, but he is appealing that decision.
Last month, a coroner ruled that Pikes' death was a homicide.

Groper is caught black-handed
A man has been convicted of fondling a young woman - after he left dirty hand prints on her chest. Peter Notridge had been working on his car moments before he grabbed his victim, covering her top with incriminating evidence, a court heard. He was given a three-month suspended prison sentence after admitting the assault. The 58-year-old was also made to register as a sex offender.
Notridge approached the woman in her 20s outside his house in Lincoln last July after she stopped to talk to his wife. He squeezed both her breasts leaving oily hand prints on her yellow top, Lincoln Crown Court was told. She went straight to the police and Notridge, who now lives in Milton Keynes, was arrested 15 minutes later.
