Grandma's Eyesight

Sending Nude Pictures:
A man moves into a nudist colony. He receives a letter from his mother asking him to send her a current photo of himself in his new location. Too embarrassed to let her know that he lives in a nudist colony, he cuts a photo in half and sends her the top half. Later he receives another letter asking him to send a picture to his grandma. The man cuts another picture in half, but accidentally sends the bottom half of the photo. He is really worried when he realizes that he sent the wrong half, but then remembers how bad his grandma's eyesight is. A week later, he receives a letter from his grandma. It says... 'Thank you for the picture. But you should change your hair style, it makes your nose look small!'

What happens to your body if you drink a Coke right now…

Have you ever wondered why Coke comes with a smile? It’s because it gets you high. They took the cocaine out almost a hundred years ago. You know why? It was redundant.

In The First 10 minutes: 10 teaspoons of sugar hit your system. (100% of your recommended daily intake.) You don’t immediately vomit from the overwhelming sweetness because phosphoric acid cuts the flavor allowing you to keep it down.

20 minutes: Your blood sugar spikes, causing an insulin burst. Your liver responds to this by turning any sugar it can get its hands on into fat. (There’s plenty of that at this particular moment)

40 minutes: Caffeine absorption is complete. Your pupils dilate, your blood pressure rises, as a response your livers dumps more sugar into your bloodstream. The adenosine receptors in your brain are now blocked preventing drowsiness.

45 minutes: Your body ups your dopamine production stimulating the pleasure centers of your brain. This is physically the same way heroin works, by the way.

60 minutes: The phosphoric acid binds calcium, magnesium and zinc in your lower intestine, providing a further boost in metabolism. This is compounded by high doses of sugar and artificial sweeteners also increasing the urinary excretion of calcium.

60 Minutes: The caffeine’s diuretic properties come into play. (It makes you have to pee.) It is now assured that you’ll evacuate the bonded calcium, magnesium and zinc that was headed to your bones as well as sodium, electrolyte and water.

60 minutes: As the rave inside of you dies down you’ll start to have a sugar crash. You may become irritable and/or sluggish. You’ve also now, literally, pissed away all the water that was in the Coke. But not before infusing it with valuable nutrients your body could have used for things like even having the ability to hydrate your system or build strong bones and teeth.
This will all be followed by a caffeine crash in the next few hours. (As little as two if you’re a smoker.) But, hey, have another Coke, it’ll make you feel better.

Small Bits of News You Didn’t Know you Needed

Naked Barbie Doll, Porn Display Get Man Arrested
New Jersey State Police arrested a 47-year-old man, whose allegedly display of a topless
Barbie doll and explicit porn magazines inside his car caused a stir at a Garden State Parkway rest area.
Robert Martin, of Dennis Township, N.J., had women's underwear on a platter, in addition to the naked doll on the dashboard of his car, investigators said.
The car is still at the Ocean View Service Plaza but the porn is not; state police seized it. But people there said they certainly haven't forgotten the graphic images they saw inside.
"There was just stuff strategically placed and all of it was based around pornography,"

Man's Nose Bitten Off At BK Drive-Through
A man bit off another man's nose in a fight in a South Carolina Burger King drive-through, and then bragged about it, deputies said. According to the police report, 38-year-old Gary Eastwood was behind Tommy Easterling at the Burger King on Tuesday.
The fight started after Eastwood rammed his truck into Easterling's car, deputies said
Deputies said that when they arrived, they found 32-year-old Easterling with an extremely bloody face, and Eastwood with blood around his mouth, but no injuries. Deputies called for emergency medical assistance when they realized Easterling's nose was missing.
Witnesses said that they saw Eastwood bite Easterling's face and spit out flesh.
Emergency medical workers located the missing piece of Easterling's nose and transported it with him to the hospital. There was no immediate word if it could be reattached.

India's professional ear cleaners still find work
Sheikh Mohammed, 25, is one of Bombay’s battalion of professional ear cleaners – a group easily identifiable by their pink or orange turbans. For 10 rupees (12 pence), one can have one’s ears expertly probed by a man wielding a tiny swab of cotton wool on a fine wire rod. The operation takes about ten minutes (its depends on how waxy your ears are, Mr Mohammed says) and is a common sight on city streets.
Mr Mohammed, the latest in a long line of ear cleaners, insists that trade "is very, very good . . . all types of people like to have clean ears".
He makes a respectable 300 rupees (£3.50) a day but he is sure that his sons will not carry on the business.

Man wins damages over retaking his driving test
An Italian court has ordered the government to pay 100,000 euros (£79,919) to a man who had to retake his driving test because he was gay. Danilo Giuffrida, now 26, told doctors he was homosexual during a medical examination for military service. The information was passed to the defense and transport ministries. Mr Giuffrida was told to repeat his driving test or have his licence suspended because of his "sexual identity disturbance." Mr Giuffrida passed his test for the second time but his licence was renewed for just one year rather than the usual 10 years because of his homosexuality.
The judge said the actions of the ministries showed "evident sexual discrimination".

My dog didn't poo .. his legs failed
The owner whose arthritic Labrador was wrongly accused of pooing on the pavement had his fine quashed yesterday.
David Murray, 45, got the £50 fixed penalty after wardens saw 11-year-old pooch Elliott crouching in the street.
But bus driver David said his poorly pet only squatted because his back legs had collapsed – and he wasn’t pooing.
He refused to pay and even sent the council a sample of Elliott’s poo to do a DNA test on.
The council refused and took the dad of two, of Hartlepool, Co Durham, to court charged with dog fouling.
But Hartlepool JPs threw out the case as they could not prove the mess belonged to Elliott.
David said: "I agree with penalties for dog foulers but I wasn’t going to pay for something my dog didn’t do."

Woman gets parking fine while unconscious
Hannah Thomas, 25, feared she was going to crash when she began to feel dizzy. She pulled up at the roadside before fainting — and came round to find she had been booked for illegal parking in Wimbledon, South London.
Hannah said: "I could have been dead or seriously ill yet they were more interested in dishing out a fine."She phoned Merton Council and was told parking attendants were not allowed to speak to drivers unless spoken to and that she would have to pay the fine. Hannah, of Hounslow, West London, has written to ask for leniency — but paid the £50 fine within the two-week limit to avoid it being doubled to £100 for late payment.

Ambulance clamp outrage
Hospital chiefs have provoked outrage by clamping AMBULANCES ... and charging £50 for releasing them.
Patients were left fuming after returning from appointments to discover their transport home had been immobilized for staying in bays too long.
Around 60 vehicles, run by outside contractor Caring For You, ferry non-emergency patients. Some 20 have been clamped this year. A CFY spokesman said he was "bewildered" by it.
But a hospital spokesman said: "CFY drivers are permitted to park in a designated drop-off zone for an hour.
"Some drivers have not been following these guidelines. This causes problems with access for other vehicles."

Woman killed in fall from pickup tailgate
A Miami, Okla., woman died Friday when she was thrown from the tailgate of a pickup in Ottawa County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.Sherrie Koronis, 34, was riding on the lowered tailgate of a 1997 Ford F-150 driven by Justin Yost, 34, also of Miami, who was driving east on County Road E60 about 2 miles west of Commerce, troopers said. Yost came to a stop in the road and then accelerated to 45 mph in reverse, troopers reported. He then lost control of the vehicle, which turned 180 degrees before coming to a stop, the OHP reported. Koronis was thrown about 25 feet off the pickup and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

Why would someone be driving at that rate of speed in reverse then do a 180 and hit the brakes unless you were trying to kill someone?
