That doesn't even make sense. Volkswagen and Porsche are not one in the same. Yes, they are both SUV's in the luxury market, but they aren't the same company. They aren't made by the same people.
Actually, Porsche owns stock in VW... They are not the same company, and when Porshce tried to buy out more stock in a bid for controling ownership of VW at less than market value for the stock, they were denied. In reality, VW is effectively subsidising Porsche, as the stock they do own in VW is the primary reason for their profitability. The cross-platform analogue applies to Audi, but not to Porsche.
VW is completely separate from Porsche in ownership. Among it's other subsidiaries, VW has a 99% interest in Audi and the public has a 1% interest in Audi.
Porshe has a 30.9% interest in it's own company and the public has the rest.
You may wonder why I used this flag for a picture. I have another "All Family" blog tied to this blog and what image I use has to be appropriate for that blog. Otherwise one image two blogs. It’s called FUNNY & MORE. Feel free to check it out but remember it's an "All Family" blog so if you post a comment NO SWEARING

It's a Volkswagen.... The Porsche Cayenne is nothing more than a Volkswagen Touareg with a Porsche logo glued on the bumper.
anonymous,

actually VW owns Porsche and yes the Porsche is built on the same platform as the VW just with more upscale treatments.
