Eat up, shop fast and move along.
That's the message some stores and fast-food establishments, including McDonald's, is giving its customers in England.
At 40 McDonald's there, drive-thru customers are given 45 minutes to finish their meal and leave the parking lot before a $225 ticket is issued, The Guardian reported.
The restrictions were put in place because people were abusing parking privileges at the establishments, a spokeswoman for McDonald's told The Guardian.

If customers decide not to pay the fine, the fee rises and they are threatened with court action, the newspaper reported.
Woman chained to car engine inside apartment for weeks
Police say a West Valley City woman was held captive for nearly three weeks. She managed to escape, but told police a horror story of her captivity. Police say the woman was chained to the engine whenever her so-called boyfriend left the place. And the apartment was also sealed shut. For nearly three weeks, police say Fernando Orozco-Trevizo kept the woman hostage in the apartment. Police say she was allowed to eat, use the bathroom and shower. But never leave. Last Friday, the woman found an opportunity. "Through condensation on window she was able to spell out 911 for someone to read," said Captain McLachlan. “Kudos to the man who saw it and called police.” You can hear the 911 call here.

Man chugs liter of vodka in airport security line
A man nearly died from alcohol poisoning after quaffing a liter (two pints) of vodka at an airport security check instead of handing it over to comply with new carry-on rules, police said Wednesday. The incident occurred at the Nuremberg airport on Tuesday, where the 64-year-old man was switching planes on his way home to Dresden from a holiday in Egypt. New airport rules prohibit passengers from carrying larger quantities of liquid onto planes, and he was told at a security check he would have to either throw out the bottle of vodka or pay a fee to have his carry-on bag checked as cargo.Instead, he chugged the bottle down — and was quickly unable to stand or otherwise function, police said. A doctor called to the scene determined he had possibly life-threatening alcohol poisoning, and he was sent to a Nuremberg clinic for treatment. The man, whose name was not released, is expected to be able to complete his journey home in a few days. » Article here

Boys, 11 and 14, Charged With Sex Assault on Woman, 60
AUSTIN, Texas — Two boys, ages 11 and 14, have been charged with breaking into the home of a 60-year-old woman and trying to sexually assault her, police said Tuesday.
The boys wore bandanas and gloves when they broke through a window in July, and one of them tried to sexually assault her but stopped when a heart device was triggered, Detective Scott Stanfield said.
The boys were charged with burglary with intent to commit sexual assault. The boys had a kit that included items to restrain the victim, Stanfield said.
A 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy were standing outside the victim's house serving as lookouts, Stanfield said, but they have not been charged because they did not break into the house.
Police said they do not know a motive for the attack. No one was arrested until someone who had seen a suspect near the woman's house contacted police, Stanfield told the Austin American-Statesman.
The boys have been released from a juvenile detention center on the condition that they wear electronic monitoring devices, Stanfield said.
